Privacy Policy

This site collects as little as possible. What it does collect, and why, is listed here in full.

2. HOSTING AND SERVER LOGS

This website is hosted by Hostinger (EU data centre). When you visit, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time of request, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to operate and secure the site (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted or anonymised after a short retention period.

3. STATISTICS (JETPACK)

We use Jetpack Stats by Automattic Inc. (USA) to see how many people visit which pages. IP addresses are shortened/pseudonymised for this purpose. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding reach (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. NEWSLETTER

If you subscribe, your email address is processed by Hostinger Reach (Hostinger International Ltd., EU) solely to send you the emails you asked for. Subscription is double-opt-in: you must confirm it by clicking a link, and nothing is sent to you before you do. Newsletters are sent from info@seyrabeat.com, from our own domain. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email; your address is then removed and never re-added. We never buy, rent or import address lists. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

5. SECURITY

Jetpack Protect processes IP addresses to block automated login attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in site security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. COOKIES

Only functional cookies are used: a language cookie (Polylang) that remembers whether you are reading English, German or Turkish, and technical cookies for caching and, where applicable, comments or login. No advertising cookies are set.

7. EXTERNAL SERVICES

Links to Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube are plain links — nothing is loaded from those services until you click. Our podcast is distributed as an RSS feed; the platform you use to listen (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.) applies its own privacy policy.

8. TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EU/SWITZERLAND

Automattic Inc. is based in the USA. Data transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Automattic’s own data processing agreement.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with future effect. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@seyrabeat.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
